American Cancer Society Chief Medical Officer Otis Brawley, M.D., will be a featured faculty member/panelist on a television program spotlighting prostate cancer awareness. The program is scheduled to re-air on Sunday, Aug. 2 at 7 a.m.
On the “Discovery Health CME: Prostate Cancer Update — Screening and Prevention” program, Dr. Brawley will join two other experts in discussing prostate cancer epidemiology; risks and benefits of current screening recommendations; new research to reduce prostate cancer risk; and recent studies on diet and medications for prostate cancer prevention. The program will also offer in-depth profiles of three patients, highlighting screening, treatments and other aspects of their prostate cancer experiences.
